About Patricia

Patricia Swords lives and works in Killiney, Co Dublin; she also works in Fethard, Co Tipperary. Patricia is an Amatsu practitioner and healer. Amatsu originated in Japan. It is a physical therapy that allows the body to realign, repattern and come back into balance and harmony. There is no force or manipulation. It works on the principal that the body’s greatest desire is to be in balance, and by gentle guidance and reassurance its inner intelligence can achieve this. By allowing the physical body to recover, it also allows emotional and mental trauma to be released, so deep memory patterns stored in the body are released in a safe, non invasive environment.

Treatments

Patricia’s practice includes Tera Mai Reiki, Seicim, Sakara and Aurasoma, Shamanism and Hopi ear candling. A significant element of her work includes working with pregnant women, women with fertility issues, children, and babies. She has been practising for ten years. A former nurse and midwife, she finds her vast experience at the Coombe Women’s Hospital hugely supportive. During her time in the Coombe Patricia was a clinical nurse manager in the operating theatre. She was responsible for upgrading, expanding and developing the operating department working with a team, introducing minimal invasive gynaecological surgery to Ireland. Patricia also has a great interest in working on pets, she has been involved with dog training and volunteering in ASH Animal rescue, she has two rescue dogs who have benefited from Reiki healing.
Patricia suffered a serious back injury in 1999, which brought her on a journey of medical and complementary healing. You can read more about Amatsu here.
